Import the employment types, salaries and variable pays of your employees

To keep track of the compensation, employments of your employees over the years, create history using several rows.

How to fill in the 'Employment' sheet in the excel file - Mandatory columns only

Contract

Select the kind of contract: "Full-time" or "Part-time" according to every case.

 

Type

Select the type of contract: Apprentice, Contractor, Permanent, or Temporary.

'Salary' sheet - Mandatory columns only

Pay Period

Annually: Insert the gross salary amount per year. The amount will be distributed by months in the Payroll. 

Monthly: Insert the gross salary amount per month.

Hourly: Insert the gross amount per hour. In this case, the monthly amount to be paid is generated according to the hours tracked in the attendance section and it is shown when the month ends. 

 

Amount

The gross amount depending on what you selected in the previous column.

 

Currency

Select the corresponding currency from the dropdown

 

Part time 

If the employee works full-time, insert "100", if the employee works part-time, it's necessary to calculate the number in relation to the maximum amount of hours per week. For instance, 20 hours per week out of 40 hours max means the value to insert here is 50 as 20 is 50% of 40.

'Variable pay' sheet - Mandatory columns only

Type 

First, add the name of the variable pay in the Settings > Employee fields > Variable pay types > [+] button Add a variable pay. Then add in this column the same name you added before.  

 

Recurrent variable pay

Select 'True' or 'False' if the variable pay is recurrent. For instance, if the company pays the same amount every month for transport card, this is a recurrent variable pay.

 

Effective date

Insert here the date on which the payment will start. 

 

End Date (only if variable pay is recurrent)

Insert here the date on which the payment will end. 

 

Every X month (only if variable pay is recurrent)

Every how many months you pay this variable pay. For instance, monthly: put 1, quarterly: put 3, biannual: put 6, annually: insert 12.
